About Zambia

With support from the Zimbabwean federation, the Zambian Homeless People’s Federation was first started in the resort town of Livingstone. Currently, the Zambian Federation is active in 44 cities and towns across the country. With the support of the NGO People’s Process on Housing and Poverty in Zambia (PPHPZ), the federation has created collaborative partnerships with the Zambian government resulting in the receipt of technical support on housing and infrastructure development. Recently, the federation has been turning its attention towards sanitation issues as it searches for affordable, scalable sanitation solutions for the urban poor.
