On Sunday, Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode ordered the immediate demolition to all Lagos waterfront communities. The Nigerian Slum / Informal Settlement Federation held an emergency meeting of over 20 communities that fear they may fall among those threatened by the Governor’s announcement.
