In April 2015 the SDI Council of Federations (Council) gathered in Nairobi, Kenya. These two bodies make up the core of SDI’s governance system and are the key decision makers of the SDI network. The Council of Federations, made up of representatives from the network’s mature affiliates, met for a day and a half. This allowed time for each Regional Hub and the Secretariat to present on key issues that have arisen in the past six months, and for the network to reflect on each of these in order to propose recommendations to the SDI Board.
