About Philippines

Originating in the dumpsites of Payatas, the Filipino Federation now has chapters in 25 cities throughout the country. Always prioritising the most vulnerable communities, the Federation uses savings to mobilise victims of disasters, ecological crisis, and evictions. By collecting information about city development plans and drawing local authorities into dialogue, land for the urban poor has been secured in several cities. The Federation is working to engage the government in discussions surrounding building standards and social housing programmes. See Asian Coalition for Housing Rights (ACHR) website for more information on upgrading projects in Philippines. Click here.
